<< Back To Week 6 Update This was a rough week. I had what I believe to be another histamine reaction. I made a dish with some left over coleslaw mix that probably was in my fridge too long for my stomach. It still looked and smelt fine but my stomach is highly sensitive to histamine, which grows quickly in cut veggies. I ate the meal and within an hour or so started feeling symptoms. I started to panic thinking I had been glutened but there is a distinct difference between the two for me. Most of week 7 was spent recovering from that and going into week 8 I…

AIP DIET SERIES – Week 6 Overview
<< Back to Week 5 Update Not too much to update this week, pretty much feeling the same as last week. My hip is feeling a little bit tighter but not too much. I’ve decided I’m going to see a pelvic floor specialist again just to make sure I’m not overlooking underlying issues, and to make sure the routine I’ve been doing for my pelvic tilt is correct. Menu For the Week My menu again was really similar this week. It was the end of the month so I chose budget friendly options that I already had some ingredients for. I also picked up some giant zucchini at the farmers…

Traveling Internationally with Celiac Disease – Lessons I Learned on my First International Trip
I was diagnosed with celiac disease a year ago and this is the first trip we’ve taken since, and of course it’s an international trip. Along with my celiac disease I have fibromyalgia and IBS, adding a level of difficulty to traveling. But, we love traveling and hope to move abroad soon – so might as well figure it out now! My symptoms can be easily triggered by various things so making correct accommodations was top of our list. My main goal on this trip was to not get glutened. But along with that I wanted to manage my pain as much as possible to ensure an enjoyable trip. I…

AIP DIET SERIES – Week 5 Overview
<< Back to Week 4 Update Stress I’ve been dealing with stress in all directions this week. Our AC unit has gone out multiple times which caused stress and some sleepless night due to the heat (it’s the peak of summer right now). Plus I also have stressful work and personal projects going on right now. There’s so much I want to do and I simply don’t have enough time and that causes me a lot of stress. Stress is a key component to my overall health but I have yet to figure out how to reduce stress. Last time I saw significant improvement in my inflammation I was very…

AIP DIET SERIES – Week 4 Overview
Update I’m starting to feel a difference!! I felt by far the most improvement this week. My leg is doing better and it doesn’t hurt to walk as much anymore. Now my hip feels bruised instead of tight or pulled. (trust me, it’s a major improvement) I’m also getting into a better routine and having more energy throughout the day. I’m still struggling to fall asleep quickly and wake rested, but there’s improvement. << Back To Week 3 CBG & THC This week I started taking my CBG and THC again (it’s legal in my state). CBG is really great for inflammation, more so that CBD. But I also find…

AIP DIET SERIES – Week 3 Overview
Update I had a lot going on in my personal life this week that it’s been hard to take notes. Some added external stress has definitely been noticeable. But I’m working hard to put it behind me and not be too concerned. Overall this eating style is getting easier. Coming back from the lake I took things easy for a bit and have just been sticking with what I love. I am starting to see some slow and steady progress which is very encouraging. My inflammation is starting to lessen, my mind is clearing, and I generally feel much happier! << Back to Week 1-2 Menu For The Week This…

AIP DIET SERIES – Week 1-2 Overview
Update Starting the AIP (Autoimmune Protocol) diet has been an eye-opening and transformative journey for me. It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions, but knowing that this is a step towards better health keeps me grounded. Here’s a peek into my experience so far: << Back To Introduction Balancing Cortisol Levels Supporting and balancing my cortisol levels often has a noticeable negative impact on my anxiety and mood right in the beginning. I’ve taken steps to lower my cortisol after a flare twice this year and it was the same feeling, so I was somewhat prepared for it, but the intensity always takes me by surprise. The second week on AIP…

AIP DIET SERIES – Introduction
My Journey with Chronic Inflammation Living with celiac disease has been a rollercoaster of health and wellness. Initially, after my diagnosis, I adhered strictly to a gluten-free diet, and the results were phenomenal. My symptoms dramatically reduced, and I felt a sense of relief. However, over time, lingering symptoms of inflammation began to reappear. My menstrual cycle became irregular, and my PMS symptoms intensified. I also developed a sensitivity to nightshades, particularly tomatoes and potatoes. A Significant Shift A few months ago, I noticed a remarkable improvement in my condition, about 80 days after my last gluten exposure. My stomach size decreased significantly, seemingly shrinking by inches daily. To celebrate…

How I Got Rid Of My Acid Reflux Naturally
Looking to get rid of acid reflux naturally and for good? Tired of relying on harsh prescriptions every day just to find relief? Here’s what I did to get rid of my acid reflux for good. My Experience with Acid Reflux I remember having acid reflux as young as the age of 6. I started having really bad health problems around the age of 12, food sensitivities, migraines, etc. Finally, around age 15 we decided to see a GI specialist who did an Endoscopy and found that my entire stomach lining and esophagus was inflamed and scarred. The doctor suggested that it was caused by stress and prescribed an antacid.…
